New Red Sea 350 & Taking the Plunge into Corals

New Red Sea 350 & Taking the Plunge into Corals So I have been a saltwater enthusiast for a little over a year and I am ready to start working with corals. I currently have a 55g with LR, LS, 2 Firefish gobies, 1 Coral Banded Shrimp, astrea snails and 2 hermit crabs. I am strongly...

    Dont know why everything died.

What are the actual numbers of your water parameters? Did you condition your well water before introducing? How are you acclimating? How did you cycle? Maybe try another LFS, how do the aquatics look, are they reputable, how long did you watch them at the store before buying?

    Cleaner Wrasse

Thank you so much for this feedback. I’m keeping a peaceful tank, are there any peaceful fish I could get for it - I believe most angels are semi-aggressive and the 2 that I found that were peaceful were also extremely expensive... I’m looking into getting blue reef kardinals and clownfish but...

    Cleaner Wrasse

It was... funny thing he was so lively in the 15g QT, eating prepared doses of brine & mysis shrimp along with krill, cleaning my (gloved) hands when I went in, swimming all around the tank. They all looked good, eating and actively swimming which is why I moved them over to the DT. Now the 2...

    Cleaner Wrasse

I moved my cleaner wrasse to my 55g DT last week and he was doing fine. Now he won’t eat and stays in the rock all day and night unless I coax him out, then he only swims around a bit and goes back inside. No visible sores or discoloration.. My parameters are as follows: 55g Ammonia - 0...

    Powerhead Pressure on tank?

I recently set up another saltwater tank so for now I put one of my powerheads from my 55g in it, leaving me with 1 powerhead in my 55g. I positioned the 1 powerhead right in the middle so it is aimed toward the front of the tank, turned up to create ripples on the surface thereby causing...

Bowl with no holes for bully isolation

So Update: The 2 Firefish are getting along great, they sleep together, eat together and swim around together. I transferred them to the DT last night and after hiding in separate spaces til comfy they found each other again. Now the 2 firefish & the cleaner wrasse are sleeping together in the...

    New Filter

I did some research and discovered that I can turn the open/close valves to control the flow of water.... ??

    New Filter

I think it’s overkill on my tank though because the exhaust water flow is so strong with the directional flow extension the water thrashing is very loud and if i use the spray extension there are waaay too many bubbles - I can’t even see my fish.... maybe I can insert a piece of plastic inside...
