Ok I have an orange tree sponge. It's been doing awesome and I wanted to frag it. I got it split easily however while I was attaching it to a rock I was punching it through a tooth pick attached to that rock some of the color came out I guess I squeezed it is it going to be ok?
Ok my lfs said this is a chalice? Is that correct? Also why is the outer edge "bleaching" it looks like the tissue is softer there when the lights are on. It's growing quickly for what it is. And should it be on the sand or not I've heard yes and no??
Well eshopps overflows suck. I had mine for three days and it was super loud even for an overflow. And the overflow tube randomly cracked. Breaking syphon and overflowing my tank and burning up my pump. Do NOT buy eshopps there crap is over price, cheaply made garbage. Tomorrow I'm buying a new...
It's probably foggy because you probably didn't rinse your sand. It should go away after a while. Next time rinse your sand with ro or distilled water before putting it in your tank.
I'm not sure if that test kit is the same. I think it Is but you need the saltwater card. Watch your water make sure you have zero ammonia, nitrites and close to zero nitrates. Then your cycle is complete and you can start adding livestock. Do your water changes. And enjoy.
I wouldn't wait for the nitrates to go up. You'll want to do your water changes on a schedule. I do about at 10-20 percent change every week on my nano. And every other week on my 125 and my nitrates stay around zero to maybe 5
With the bubble do a water change. Take that frag out and put it in the bucket of the water you took out. Take something like a straw an gently push toured the base of the bubble algae. They should come right off. Be carefully not to pop them. If you do ( that's why I would remover the frag)...
If your using sand, water, and Rock from the older tank then you'll probably just have a mini cycle. If its new sand and rock and water then you will have to do a full cycle before it'll be safe.
Yes the copper bandeds are reef safe. But there not an easy fish to keep. And I feel a 55 is to small of a tank for one. Try joes juice and with the bubble algae, you need to pick them off the rocks without popping them. It's really no that hard start a syfin with small tube and syfin the water...
