    Sick Dayglo Hap

I have a Dayglo gap that is getting incredibly skinny. It hasn't been eating when I feed the rest of the tank. What's weird is that it looks like the fish had a cough. It occasionally coughs while I'm watching the tank. Any guesses as to what may be its issue?

    Moving far away

Thank you everyone for the advice. It seems my best option would be to ship them to a store in Denver and have them hold the fish. Replacing them is not an option as my girlfriend is very attached to them.

    Moving far away

I have two tanks of African cichlids at my Connecticut apartment. I will be moving soon to Denver Colorado though and would like to be able to keep my fish. What would be the most efficient way to get them there. Also with the best survival odds being the most important.

    Mama is freaking out.

So if that is the case. Are the fry in danger? And how do combat the parasite?

    Mama is freaking out.

I have a cynotilapia that is holding fry. She is swimming in short and fast spurts. She also slams into the rocks and sides of the tank. She's been hold for about 18-20 days. What's her deal? Are her / the fry ok?

    Aggression!

My e.b. Johanni is also the Alfa of my tank. Though, he doesn't make it a point to bother others. It's more of a nobody messes with him situation. I guess just bad luck luck that u had one with a chip on its shoulder

    Aggression!

Also, I've used controlled over population. This prevents fish from establishing set territories. Move decor around during water changes also to confuse and break down territories. Just closely monitor tanks levels when adding so many fish.

    Aggression!

How warm are u running the tank? I've noticed fish react similarly to reptiles as far as temperature. They are more docile with slightly cooler temps. The warmer the more active/potentially more aggressive.

    Algae in my cichlid tank

So I've been having some algae steadily growing in my cichlid tank. My local shop suggested Chinese algae eaters, as they are fast and nimble enough to avoid harm from the cichlid. I was also advised by my brother who is a cichlid fanatic that a Pleco may work. Needless to say, I wouldn't be...

    Cynotilapia afra breeding

Here she is. By her lonesome in the holding tank. Any e.t.a. on average brooding time before she will spit them out? Is the female known to eat fry as well?

    Cynotilapia afra breeding

I have a pair of afras who I believe are beefing. The females mouth appears full. I am not sure if the eggs are fertile or not. I currently have her in her own 10 gallon baby tank. Should I put the male in as well to ensure fertility? And are afras protective parents, or will they turn around...
