- I started with a 29 gallon tank I got on craigslist. Ran a 10000k t8 bulb for months till I upgraded to a coralife 30" two t5 light fixture. I upgraded to a 40g breeder. I have the same coralife light fixture, a lee's protein skimmer driven by a airstone. Jus a run of the mill glass heater, penguin 330 filter, and a aqueon 950 circulation pump. Inside the tank 40 pounds of live sand, under that is 15ish pounds of crushed coral. About 30 pounds of live rock an another 20pounds of base rock. My live stock as of 7/15/11 includes a large female yellow stripe maroon clown, sandperch, a blue damsel fish, bangaii cardinal, and mandarin goby. a have a couple zoa frags, condylactus anemone, and a clean up crew of 6 snails an 8 hermits.
