I wouldn't use Phosguard. I heard it leaches aluminum into your system. I'm personally going to buy the 2 -Dr.'s brand called PhosPure. It's really cheap & I'm betting it's identical the more expensive PO4 removers such as: Kent PowerPhos Marc Weiss Phosphate+Silicate Magnet Rowaphos

Hmmm. I've never succesfully performed hypo to cure ick. (I don't own a refractometer) I normally use coppersafe. Even that is harsh on the animals. You were at 1.009sg?
