DO you HAVE to use RO/DI water?

Many problems that accure in a SW aquarium take time , months or yrs , to appear , after youve spent lots of money and used lots of time , and can be much harder to fix leaving many to give up from frustration or tank crash. You cant test small batches and get long term results as many...

    simple saltwater setup?

Smaller tanks require more time but less money. Theres no simple setup but there is a basic setup. With no fish and a few coral minimul amount of flow would work for awile but feeding fish help feed coral and CUC and pods.Low flow means a collection of unwanted nutreints and with fish no skimmer...

    What am I doing wrong???

A 3 week tank is to soon for any stock. And a canister for water movement wont cut it. Moping fish?

Lack of movement could be from amount or lack of oxygen. Do you have anything for water movement or an airstone?

    how to start overflow siphon

You could also use an air tube stuck through the pipe on the tank side and then blow to force water flow.

pH issue - need some help please

You stated you have a 265 gallon. Is this right? If so then this isnt near enough. You want a constant 5300 GPH. 2 K-4's and a 600 GPH return you only half way there.

pH issue - need some help please

Then the fact the airstones helps is another indicater. THe bubbles produced from them isnt the type of oxygen you water needs. Salt water receives its O2 source from a gas exchange at the surface creat from water movement. Then if you have good flow the LR and LS will convert ammonia and...
