water is fine, nitrates are at 20 though but still in safe range. I have a t5 light with the 10k actinic. What gets me is my other stuff is doing fine and growing.

I was thinking about going with t5 lighting with my fowlr setup. I was wondering if you need a T5 fixture or will the bulbs work in a regular flourescent fixture?

I am starting a marine tank and I was wondering about using a protein skimmer. I have a 20gal long tank. I plan to use a Marineland emperor 280 filter. Live rock and live sand. I was told I need one and told I don't can anyone help?
