I used to have a tropical aquarium when growing up.
Right now, I have a rescued turtle named Lucy. She is deformed, causing her stunted growth and jellybean shaped. She can't catch fish or even eat correctly(they thought she was blind, but she can see movement, but TERRIBLE depth perception). I don't have an aquarium of fish at the moment, but I DO have a big pond! (Currently building a turtle pond, and future koi pond). I feel a little bit of an outcast on this site, I'm quite the "noob" with no amazing tanks or fish. But I signed up to help my research. I have two 3 inch comet goldfish and a little feeder goldfish in my turtle tank, best friends with my turtle. They pick off and eat her shedding skin, they help me clean up! I've been thinking and starting to research a turtle-safe community. Maybe a shrimp or two would help?
