Your LFS generally sells brine and or mysis shrimp. Target feed him this and see if he will take it. If you have a strong or extra tuning this should be easy.
There is a product called revive you could try using (or any alike product) it is an iodine based treatment to help corals in trouble. You get a bucket add the amount directed on the bottle to one or so gallons of your current tank water and swirl for about 15 minutes. It worked wonders on mine!
I run a 20G coral tank with a 10G sump. I have been dosing blindly with reef fusion 1 & 2 and magnesium. Yesterday I ran a alkalinity test with my sailfert kit and found that it is approximately 15-16 dKh. I also tested my calcium to find it at 460. I did a 10G water change to find my alkalinity...
I have an API test kit that I have been using for about a year, which I'm now finding out is pretty unreliable. That being said, as of now my parameters are- pH: 8.0, Nitrite: 0 Nitrate: 0 and Ammonia: .25 - .50. Which is a little high... :/
My parameters are decent. pH: 8.0 Nitrite: 0 Nitrate:0 and Ammonia: Between .25 - .50
So ammonia is a little high but I can get that under control. I was told by a guy at my LFS that xenia likes dirty water, is this true?
