    Sick Platy?

Did you try also adding salt (rock or aquarium salt only) to the water? In my experience (at least with mouth fungus) salt has brought Platies back when meds didn't help. I think mouth fungus is different to body fungus, so I'd stick with the meds too, but salt can't hurt since live bearers do...

    CO2 System Question

Thanks I checked it out again to brush up :) Just one more question, on this site when you refer to 'gallon' do you mean US? In Australia we use litres and I need to know which one to convert. Thanks!

    CO2 System Question

What's the effect if you don't? Can anyone point me in the right direction for info on how much lighting you should have if using a CO2 kit? That's actually what I was thinking, but figured I'd check here since my chemistry knowledge isn't that reliable ;) Makes sense anyway.

    CO2 System Question

    Sexing Blue Ram!

I don't think you have to wait until full maturity. The ones I had were bred by a shop worker where I bought them, so they were about 2 months old when I got them and already there were signs of the sex. They didn't worry the pandas I had nearly as much as the clowns for some reason, but my...

    Sexing Blue Ram!

A female will have a pink belly (which gets pinker when she's ready to breed). A male will have a longer 'spike' at the front of the dorsal fin. From memory the pink belly doesn't appear in very young rams unfortunatley. My female Ram was just as colourful as my male, and for some reason the...
