- I am a beginner aquarist who has dreamed of having fish as pets. Due to a small amount of money, I was able to purchase a 5 gallon tank with medium gravel, a tetra whisper filter for 2-15 gallon tanks, water conditioner, regular goldfish flake food, and two black moors. I know they typically need more space than that, but they seem to be happy. One did have cottonmouth fungus, but I cleared that up with a fungus cure tablet. Any info will be helpful. I someday want to get a big tank and have a community or breeding tank.
