Yes when I put that in a search engine and look at pics that's what it looks like. Definitely not what it was labled as. The thing is a bully. Thank you very much
I moved into a new house several months ago and started to re-stock my tank. All I had was a big danio so I bought this fish from the pet store. He was little when I got him about 3 months ago. I do not remember what he was called but it was not a cichlid, jack dempsey, or oscar. He was labeled...
yeah its a marineland. I plugged the other in and put the new filters in it. I can transfer the old in there if i have to. I kept that one running. If that one is only running halfway and the new one I don't think it is so powerful that it will mess stuff up for my fish. I cleaned the old filter...
my old filter broke. Just one bio wheel turns now. I bought another one to replace this. Should I leave the old one running for a bit? is it going to cause another cycle if I don't. How do I go about everything, I mean when can I remove the old one? or should I just take one of the cartridges...
I bought 2 dalmation mollies two days ago and just now I walk by my tank and one is popping out babies. What do I do? I have a 55g and I hear some of the other fish I have like to eat them. I have quite a few artificial plants. I kind of prefer the idea of natural selection if they are meant to...
Thanks tamtam so instead of like giving a little bit of bloodworms and a little bit of flakes at once should I just be a little more frequent with the bloodworms and substitute them every 2-3 days instead of once a week to be sure they are all eating properly?
Thanks lynda. I normally do research and I would not buy anything non compatible with my tank. I know enough about what fish are compatible with my tank and how big they get and what not. I read how big the glass cats get before I purchased them I just was wondering about their diet as I heard...
It's a well established 55 G tank. The mollies are female. The guppies are male and play a lot but don't seem to fight much. The mollies are bugging each other some. My question wasn't really the mollies and guppies but I wanted to know more specifically about any tricks with the catfish as they...
I went to the pet store last night as they had a pretty good sale and looked healthy and got a few guppies, 2 dalmation mollies, and 2 ghost catfish. My girlfriend got to pick them out so I read the cats were community fish and asked the lady who normally is on the ball and of course she said 2...
Hey guys. I accidently made a goof up. I have a 55 g tank with a lot of fake plants in it. I hadn't seen my pearl gourami in awhile so I thought it had died. She is a female. I ordered another female last night and before I went to bed was looking and saw mine hiding in the plants...
Yeah I agree with Lynda. No offense but smallies can get 20 some inches long and 5-6 lbs or more full grown. I wouldn't even put one in a tank that size let alone more than one. In the wild they hang around lots of rocks and swim around a ton
Yeah makes sense. I just know one of my friends has one that harasses the crap out of the other fish in his tank. Mine pretty much minds her own business
Does it REALLY matter that I have been giving my tropical fish goldfish flakes? They came with my tank and the last couple months I have been subbing in dried blood worms about once a week, and algae wafers for the bottom dwellers. They don't really seem to go for the zuchini I tried to give...
