I dont think it was the parents to be honest i watched them a fair bit they never nibbled them.. But they were not very protective ( young parents) lol. They let their guard down so pretty sure another fish or a pleco nomed them!

Iv got them spread out around my 2 footers. I have a 6 foot setup with my big pleco. The others are still young and have plenty of room. They eat the disks now but dont seem to enjoy them to much anymore.. maybe bored? haha

More then likely he died and your Chinese algae eater ate him! also the other fish may of joined in. I have heaps of bottom feeders and if a fish dies they will not leave remains...
