JBJ Nano 28 with PRO LED

Sometimes I am too clever for myself So I added a new Koralia Nano to my tank to get more flow for two Flavias and a Frogspawn. These new additions seemed to be doing will with the existing pumps but I thought a little more flow couldn't hurt. Naturally, it stirred things up a little but not...

    BluCrab's 29 Gallon Reefer Madness

Since my skimmer pump is in the rear chamber I am not as risk of picking up sand or debris. It is a tight fit with two pumps in one chamber but it works. I really wanted the Tunze nano but I would have had to sacrifice one of my return pumps.

    BluCrab's 29 Gallon Reefer Madness

Totally agree IF you are doing weekly water changes. Per his comment not wanting the skimmer to be a pain, I use a skimmer so I am not a slave to water changes. True my tank is not totally stocked yet and I probably will see my values increase as I do but I may have to do PWC every two weeks.

    Remora aqua c bubbles

Is it skimming? Is so what kind of results? Just set mine up and had a ton of bubbles. Once the skimmer was broken in and began to skim the bubbles are almost gone.

    BluCrab's 29 Gallon Reefer Madness

May want to rethink the no skimmer I have a relatively new 28gal Nano. Not a bio cube but similar. I hesitated doing the skimmer as well and since all my levels were very good (although a not yet heavily populated tank) and I thought the chemical filtration would also do the job. THe reality...

JBJ Nano 28 with PRO LED

Stocking and cycling I wanted to try something different with this set up. 1) To avoid using regular live rock (due to expense and trying to save a coral reef or two) so I opted for 35lbs of dry eco rock from BRS. 2) And to avoid stressing fish so I cycled with Dr. Tim's One and Only. I...

JBJ Nano 28 with PRO LED

I will post a pic on my next update. I am just like you love gadgets and love to experiement. I bought the JBJ because it was a self contained system... well we all know that is not really true and my need to upgrade and fiddle with things got the better of me.

JBJ Nano 28 with PRO LED

Hey, I am new to this board so I thought I would post my experience starting a new JBJ 28gal with the PRO LED lighting system. I have been away from the hobby for about 10 years, new kids and starting your own business will do that to you. I also gave up golf but that had more to do with the...
