Probably correct. I don't know for sure however. Someone I know at Krylon said it would be as safe as the regular Krylon... but Krylon won't really tell you what's in it as it's proprietary. And of course they warn against it's use outside it's scope and around "live animals".
I made a Foam...
Depending on the quantity needed you can buy RO or Distilled by the Gallon (.65 Cents US per gallon around my area) and play around with the mix RO/Tap Water until you get the softness you desire.
Whattaya got and where are you trying to get? ;)
I was under the impression that if the females had developed saddles then the eggs were fertile.
Males are smaller and lightly colored... they typically move around quite a bit in the presence of females ready to made.
It works. The only problem is that if you don't buy it in the presealed packs it's difficult to contain and most filter bags can't be bleached. You have to buy "The Bag" from them and it's unwieldy and has a goofy reusable tie on the end. Always end up looking like Santa's Sack of Goodies...

We have the same laws here in Florida for Gopher Tortoises. It's Illegal to pick one up and move it out of the road but you can run over it with no legal problems.
Kind ah dumb.
I keep them too. They are similar, but the ōpaeʻula actually have little claws similar to a lobster. They are also a bit more entertaining. Animated and crazy swimmers. They'll spend an hour upside down after they crawl under a rock or whatever. From then on they will swim around upside down...
Unless you keep the Saltwater Shrimp ōpaeʻula (Halocaridina Rubra) or "Hawaiian Micro Lobsters"! Simple to keep, bullet proof, fun to watch (although small). Perfect for a small tank. I have 28 in a 1.5 gallon nano. From slightly salty to full salt, PH from 7.0 to 11, hard water.... whatever. No...
