    Price quote on RR Aquarium

When I was tank shopping about 2 months ago, I think the 75 RR was about $220. The overflow accessory kit is definitely overpriced at $80... should be $49 (you could just buy that online). --Mike

    Sump baffels

I think 1 inch is the standard (that's how I spaced mine as well). --Mike

    Question regarding Seachem Marine Buffer

I bought some of this a few days ago, and mine did not have a foil seal, just a thin foam-like insert loosely fitting in the cap. --Mike

    reef ready tanks?

When I was tank-shopping a month or two ago, and trying to decide between a 75g, a 90g, and a 120g, I found the 120 was substantially more expensive (much more than the price difference between the 75 and 90). thanks Katrina...what now???

Oh, forgot to add... an emergency setup like that would probably cost about $350 (the biggest expense would be the batteries... I think I paid $100 for each of mine). And, if you want to buy more time, each battery would give you another day or two of running time. --Mike

    thanks Katrina...what now???

Greetings from Slidell, LA. I experienced plenty of anxiety leaving behind the small FW tank we had just set up a few weeks prior to Katrina. It only had a couple of gouramis in it, but I hated the thought of them possibly dying from the expected power outage. Fortunately, when I returned a...

First Sump Progress (pics and questons)

Hello, A few observations (from a relative newbie)... 1) Do you plan to have a sandbed in the refugium? You might need to raise up the spraybar. 2) A pre-filter sponge on the return pump might trap 'pods from the refugium and prevent them from getting up to the main tank. 3) Regarding the...

    SUmp cost

I wouldn't use Liquid Nails. But, for what it's worth, regular silicone aquarium sealant, though it does not bond well to acrylic, is fine for some situations. I'm using a 20g tall as a sump, and attached 3 full-width pieces of acrylic to serve as baffles/bubble trap. After doing a freshwater...
