    skimmer preformance being affected?

    I have a 56g with a sump=65g altogether. From the overflow it goes down the tube to a "de-gassing" chamber then goes to the fuge and to skimmer compartment. Floods skimmer area with microbubbles. Will this affect the preformance of the skimmer as the pump sucks in the bubbles from the water? It...

    I was looking at options for new reef lighting. Then my eyes were opened on ebay from a random search into thoes chinese reef LEDs. My question here is, do thoes leds really work? And if they do, how powerful are they? And is it better to get the blue and white or thoes "full spectrum" models...

    Run a reactor with GFO. Best thing I did for my tank, if you have a sump. Use chaeto as well with a light on all the time

    I used seachems sand for a reef. Its dry so you get more, doesn't blow around like fine sand but small enough for gobies. Its not live so it takes time to get cultured but I like it

    Basically as long as there's enough par, no need for atinics unless you want better looking corals. Color pop for our enjoyment. What about how deep will lights penetrate?

    I am aware of this my friend. I was curious about lighting requirements. To boost my knowledge a bit more. There's a lot of things we all don't know about lighting. Not to just me, everyone who might read this thread just might learn somthing new today.
