    Air Stones

It is my opion that air stones in a planted tank are not needed or advised. Don't need gas exchange to help c02 escape from water. If im wrong I'm sure some one will post that i am.

    Over my head

Put something in the tank that the babies can hide in. Live plants are best but artificial will work to. The gold fish will eat them to and when he gets big he will eat the adult guppies as well.

    Mapping tank flow

I did that once a long time ago so this might be out dated. I used sewing thread anchored with a fishing wieght called a split shot. Put them in different locations in tank to see what direction thread would sway. Hope this helps.

    Arowana questions.

He gre to almost 2 feet in about 16 months. Put him in a 29 by about 13 foot pond not square but roughly that size and after 6 months in it he looked confined. Still can't believe a herring could eat him. But thats what my wife said she saw.

    Arowana questions.

I kept one in a 150 till he got big then he went into my pond. A herring got him. He was my favorite fish. A fish that breaths air. I used to feed him mice. The kids loved that. If you ask me he should not be in a fish tank unless you have one in the thousnd plus size.

    Worms! :,(

Forvot to ask how do you do water changes. Do you put water in buckets and let them sit open or do you use water strait from the tap. If you store water in buckets make sure tbey are covered. The bugs could be laying eggs in that water.

    Worms! :,(

They are larvae of some sort. They do look like mosquito larvae. That would explain why they keep coming back. Mosquito fly to water and lay eggs. Bleach only last for one day after that it is ready for more eggs. The way they are positioned is the way they breath. From the back side. Seal the...

Worried about my zig zag eel

I just got them from my compost pile and rinsed them. Never thought about parasites. Feed them that way for 3 years. Best part it was free.

Worried about my zig zag eel

Try a small earth worm. Thats what my eel preferred over everything else.
