- I inherited my freshwater tank. Unfortunately, I know little about it except that is around a 30-40 gallon. Was pretty plain with one type of plant across the bottom middle. Has black sand bottom. Fish are 1 Angelfish 8+ years old about 5-6 inches long, 1 Bala Shark 8+years old and about 7-8 inches long, 1 Siamese Algae Eater and approx. 4-5 inches long 2 Zebra Danios (reg) and 4 long fin Zebra Danios all of which are 1-2 inches long. I also have 5 larger snails and some tiny snails. I have a florescent light across the tank and a Marineland C-220 Canister filter which I just bought due to the old filter quitting. I also have a couple of Betta fish 1 male and 1 female. My dream is to upgrade my 33 gallon tank to a much larger tank but I am unsure of the size I will get as of yet.
