What you gar ear?

Both gar are about 8 inches long. Mostly feeders..every now and then theyll snap at frozen blood worms. I wish they would eat something different.

I wouldnt say im very experienced. I had a 220g last summer. I recently aquired a 300g...I don't have both. I do have a peacock bass, a pike cichlid, 2 eclipse catfish, and 3 tinfoil barbs. The gars are in a 90g currently. My ultimate goal would be to have them in the 300g

Wow! What kind of fish did you raise to that size? That's huge. My peacock bass measurements may not relate to yours .....im sure plenty of others have seen faster growth. My bass never hides but he was shy at first. He greets me as soon as I come into sight almost like a dog. Extremly active

Yea mine wont even think about pellets. I havent personally expirienced any significant growth based on tempature. The quickest growth rate for me has always been in my least populated tanks which directly relates to the cleanest water. Im not saying tempature doesnt play a role. Im just saying...
