Take the new gouramis back to the store. You had a good thing going. Gouramis can be quite territorial and I doubt the situation will get any better. If you want more fish and the aquarium can handle the bioload, add to the schools of shoaling fish...
I think the tank can handle the bioload, especially if it’s planted and you do large frequent H2O changes and have good filtration. . I’d go with a pair of Honey gouramis. They are beautiful, non-aggressive and will not need the high temperatures that German rams need...which will be too high...
Your pH is too high for your tetras. Trying to alter the pH is a fool’s errand. I have tried many times, but it never really works out. You have good water parameters for keeping African cichlids. I wish I had your parameters! Change the type of fish to ones that fit the natural parameters and...
Enjoy your new additions! Maybe you can post a picture once they are established and coloured up. Honey gouramis are not as common as many other gouramis and are often under appreciated!
I totally agree with the others. Having a single fish of many different species is not good for the fish and will not let you see their natural Scocial behaviours. Plus...it rarely looks good.

Honey’s are beautiful fish! The males can be stunning! Although they have a generally peaceful nature, the males can be somewhat territorial with each other...and the resident females. I know the males are nicer to look at, but the fewer males you have, the happier...
