How come when I add a certain amount of fish to a 37 gallon, it says its stocked 161%, but if you add just 3 gallons, to a 40 gallon, the stocking percentage is 90%. How does 3 gallons make that big of a difference?

I put a lot of cycled filter media, gravel, and fake plants in my 5.5 gallon. I've had it running for about a day with fish. I still have 0 ammonia and 0 nitrite. Has the cycle just not started yet or did it really instant cycle?

Has anyone used the Rena brand? I see a deal on ebay for a whole 55 setup for 100 with a rena 55 smart filter and heater.

okay so i decided to do fish in. i got it today and added two plants, gravel, and filter media from my other tank. does it take a shorter time for a smaller tank to cycle?
