Real Live Rock comes from a reef somewhere and contains real animals that can be a real surprise. It is called "Live" because it is and it needs to be kept wet until it is placed in an aquarium for "seasoning". It's value is it's ability to filter water in a salt tank better than any other...
I tested everything twice but with test strips. I will get proper testing equipment and change the water (30%) again this week. I have had the RO going all weekend so I have enough water to both change and top up. I will post the next test results.
Thanks for the advice and input.

I have been out of town for sometme. Others have been feeding my 90 gal tank but changed 1/3 of water this weekend, first time in 2 months. Te chem test sows the NO3 elevated to 160 but I will keep changing the water now ever week to get tat down.

Try the POWERBRITE LED ACTINATE Lighting system. I really like it but you can apparently get it for daylight use as well. You need to determine what your light intensity needs to be.
You haven't stated what you plan for your tank.If you want marine (salt) then you need to take some extra precautions.
Cycleing refers to the process of allowing good bacteria to become established in your tank. In a salt environment, if you have some Live Rock", it has enough live growth that...
I certainly agree with not putting too much credance in LFS advice. They are often wrong and never in doubt. I spent thousands in one store only to discover that the salesman had never actually owned or cared for a tank.
Read, do research, join a group like this, get involved in a local...
