    fungus

Sorry- my tank is at 25 degrees Celsius. I read online that if I ramp the temperature up to 31-32 degrees Celsius and keep it there for 3 days, this might get rid of the fungus? I think I might try this as a safe alternative and if it works, keep the tank at 28 degrees in future??? Many thanks

Hi there, I have had a tank running for nearly a year and have lost 3 of my 15 fish during this time. I have noticed that there seems to be quite a bit of fungus in the uplift filter pipe and in the gravel. Also, one of the platies looked like it had some fungus by it's gills the other day...

hope this helps? I have removed the most aggressive platy, put it in a bucket with DE chlorinator and some oxygen tablets where it will stay overnight before I reintroduce it back into the tank. I have noticed that the former victim of the aggressor is now bullying the other remaining platy...

    agressive platy- help!

Dear All, I have been the proud owner of a community (3 black neons, 3 black widows, 4 zebra danios and 3 platies) for 3 months now. 2 of the platies were introduced into the tank at the same time and were actually housed together at the pet shop. However, in the last few days, I have noticed...

I would just like to thank you ALL for your lovely advice and apologise for not saying thanks earlier! I did a massive water change (90%) as recommended, the nitrite levels went down to 0 and the nitrates to 25ppm. 2 days later I bought some 'starter fish' (danios, black widows and black neons)...

Hi there friends, I thought that I'd give a litle update..... I purchased an API ammonia kit and now have the following readings for my tank, approximately 12 hours after adding one pinch of fish flake to it: Ammonia: 0-0.25 ppm (mg/L) API Nitrite: 10 (mg/L) N.B max the kit can read, TETRA...
