This is THE coolest fish!!! Watching him eat is absolutely astounding and his movement is fascinating as heck! What a neat guy - I am in fishy-love!

I must be the only person alive who actually likes these fish... we've had ours for a while and though he's a bit on the territorial side, he isn't agressive to my other fish. I have him in a 55gal barb tank where he can't really pick on anyone without getting picked on himself and he's doing...
Hi all! Been really busy lately but wanted to update you all. We finished cycling our other 55gal tank and tonight we bought its first inhabitant - the BGK we've been coveting for months and months! He is GORGEOUS, and I'm already enchanted. ;) Can't wait to get some pix of him for you guys...
I've been watching him for days and he's not showing any other signs of illness... so I took a chance and put my other two in there with him and they are all happily swimming around together! Two of them "flick" at each other occasionally but I think it's more of a display than anything else...
I can't really see in the photos what's going on but my advice would be to move the tiger barb to a different aquarium or separate him from the cichlids somehow.

The barb is starting to get a few on his body so I'll snap another one today. He's being treated and I'm taking pix to chart his progress... the first pic was the beginning stage.

Oh yes, one of our "hobbies" (haha) is raising Arabian horses. I'm also a professional equine photographer... check out my horses at www.rendezvufarm.com and the business at www.equusunltd.com (click on the Photography link to see more pix). ;)

Our betta eats just about everything we give him except brine shrimp. I give him BettaMin flakes as a staple but he also likes bloodworms, algae wafers (small pieces, not whole ones), tubifex worms... his favorite food is live fruit flies. Every now and again we leave a cup on the back porch...
By the way, "Equus Unlimited, LLC" is my company, in case you wondered. I took that pic recently and as long as the photo credit isn't removed, you are free to use it as you see fit in your article. :)
Fishfreek, thanks for posting it here.
