What size is your tank and tiger oscars are extremely easy to take care of. I would stay away from feeding it live food but you probably are gonna. I tried a few times just because who doesn't wanna see a fish eat another but you wouldnt want to be feeding them everyday maybe once a month cause...
You could always just put someone dirty filter pad in there and or some ones old filter on and let it run for a day I think I let my first tank cycle and then when I got a new tank and did a 50 percent water change and with the 50 percent I took out I put in my new one and filled it the rest up...
I didn't think the texas and Oscar would be possible but the red devil is a little bit smaller then the Texas would there be anyways to try to get them to breed and I'm sure that my red devil is male

So guy I threw the fish in the garbage and I took him out as I thought his back half was one but it was stuck to his side I thought the back was off but could my tank still have toxins in it or not
