    Tank Mates

When I bought them they were advertised as growing to 2 inches and I would hardly say there isn't enough space half the time you will see 10 max as the rest are round the back of the tank bit if they are then I shall leave it as is and not add any more fish Thanks for the help

    Tank Mates

You might be right they were sold as rosey barbs by s reputable store near me but bearing in mind they haven't grown in 6 months I have a feeling they may be cherry barbs after looking at a picture of both closely plus they are about the max size for a cherry barb

    Tank Mates

They are fully grown and you barly see them in the tank half the time, plus it is over filtered with 2 600l oase biomasters But I understand what your saying when I did the calculations on stocking it didn't say I was anywhere near over stocked

Plants dying, can't work out why

Thanks for the advice Just to clarify first off i will turn on the c02 an hour earlier and monitor fish behaviour secondly am i right in understanding that you recommend upping the dose to 100ml 3 times a week for ideal nutrition. i believe the flow shouldnt be an issue as it has 2 600l...

    Tank Temp advise

Just an update, been a week at 24 and everyone seems really happy, bought 2 150l boxes from bandq and 2 cheap heaters to solve the water change issue. First day the Rosys pestered the angles think it was just something new to look at tho as they keep them selves to them selves now

    Tank Temp advise

Will probably do 30% next week and see how they react not sure on outside tap temp but tank will be set to 24c

    Tank Temp advise

The only other concern i jave is i currently water change from the outdoor tap as it takes years with buckets in a 400l tank would they be comfortable with a couple degree drop while the heater do there thing it has 2 300w heaters so it would only be a matter of hours not days

    Tank Temp advise

Evening all I keep seeing and reading that angel fish and rosy barbs are good tank mates yet rosys from research seem to like up to 22c and angels start at 24 to 25c. If they were to go in a community tank together what would the best temp be, slightly higher for the barbs or lower for the...

    Tank upgrade stock Advice

Thank you I understand where your coming from, I assume as the plants develop and grow the will help somewhat with the ammonia and nitrites. So for example once fully grown out a normal 40% water change every week could probably be more like 20 to 30% every week, and more frequently depending...

    Tank upgrade stock Advice

It has 2 very strong filters but I will reduce the number and see how it goes, thanks for the advise, Reason for Cory and loach is I already have some of each in my 100l that I want to move across. You say they do the same job but the hill stream tend to stay on the glass and the Cory's on the...
