Nope been stable for months now

Went to feed the fishes today, and didn't see the angel where it usually is at the top waiting for some munchies. Instead was at the back of the dank not ready to munch. Then noticed these growths on its head. Everyone else looks well and fine. Not sure what to do. Water tests all came out perfect.

Tannins can last a while, but isnt very noticeable, we only see it in the water bucket during water changes

As long as your plants you plan on getting don't need high light, then I would assume you'd be fine

Maybe its the fish? Where are you buying them, is it a big chain store or a ma and pop business, we had an issue a while back with death and came to the conclusion it was the store we were getting them from

Night time after lights out he gets a few pellets and during the day he eats the flakes

Mine used to always hid, now he swims around during feeding time then finds a spot to rest

Similar to mine also we have a basic lighting , and all plants have grown incredibly well.except the glosso.

Add it until the max line then remove it just slightly, it also should have a min line, just remember to turn it off for.water.changes

I use shrimp pellets personally he seems to enjoy them

As for behaviour he's very calm and doesn't.bother anyone, the only guy that bothers him is our pleco for some reason. Question did he make a hiss/scream outside of the water?

I.have a stripped Raphael in a 55, they are nocturnal but mine has been active and eating during the day as well. As for feeding when the lights go out we usually throw in a shrimp.pellet or two and he's quick.to eat them, he also eats the flakes that we add during the day
