That is helpful. ..thanks... I figured it wasn't contagious since it was isolated to the one shrimp. I didn't even think of old age...I should have because its the biggest one in the tank.

One of my ghost shrimps body is opaque. The other 5+ are clear and this one has been this way since I got them...I have had them for about 1 month...it is still active and eating...is it something to worry about? Is it trying to molt and not able to? Is there anything I can do?

When mine was cycling and my nitrites were sky high I used the emergency dose of prime every few days along with 20%wc (mine was only a 10g though) and it eventually leveled off after about 1 week.

The one with the red is 3 days before she dropped her fry...and the one with the yellow plant is 3 days after...not much difference and it hasnt changed...lol

If you notice the others chasing her and nipping at her bottom she is probably dropping fry...mine act like its a mobile buffet

My molly constantly looks enormous...the pic with the blue gravel is 2 days before she dropped her first batch of fry...the other one is 2 days after a fry drop...not much difference...she and my male managed to eat all of them even with all the hiding places provided...there is a good chance...
