I have a very old tank, 20-25yr old, the glass is become hazy, is there any super chemicals I can try to bring some life back into the glass? I'm only worried about the outside of the tank for now :) Thanks

Cpperbands in my experience are extremely hard to care for, I heard countless stories about how picky of an eater they are, or that they just die. My local petshop said he wont order them for normal stock because half the time they are dead on arrival.

Yah the actual container/sump itself isn't the costly part, u'll prob spend more on a return pump than a container/glass tank. But in any case, get as big as you can fit... if you got room under your stand for a 40galon then do it :) Theres no rules saying your sump needs to be smaller than...

Question, I have some rock rubble in my sump with a pretty good sized aptasia on it. How do they spread? Should I nuke him, or is he not able to spread to the main tank? (I figured if he CANT spread to main tank then hes prob doing some filter feeding which is good)

Is there any benefits to leaving your lights on longer? lets say you have an anomie and its getting boarder line sufficient light... would it help to leave the lights on for 12hrs vrs less? Also is there a benefit to leaving it on less time? will less bacteria grow etc?

Having the Remora Pro that came with a Mag 3 and now upgraded to a Mag 5 I must say I hate this skimmer.... The skimmers either work or they don't... its like there is no quality control at the plant.

I think a lot of people have no experienced the power of T5... many people say if they had to redo their lighting situation they would go T5 over MH. T5 puts off an incredible amount of light, if you have a 29Gallon tank I don't think u'll have any issues. You got plenty of light :)

You'll need to purchase a bulkhead so you can either use the hole to drain water to a sump, or to plug it. If you go on any fish supply website you should be able to find a bulkhead and plug to fit..

You dont "need" a light that is the exact same size... if you go all out and get a Halide and hang it 8+inches above your tank it will light your entire tank. You'd best getting a fixture that is 36" so everything is lit up equally.

Some people just feed them chunks of uncooked shrimp... I feed the rest of my fish frozen Mysis Shrimp.... I usually just break off a chunk before it breaks up and throw it near it, it will grab onto it. These are very hardy animals...
