I have 12 adults, 5 adolescents, and about 12 1.5" fry in my 55 gallon tank (I'm trying to get rid of the fry). I don't have any problem keeping my nitrates below 40ppm with 1 40% pwc per week. I filter the tank with 2 Aquaclear 70s.

It happens. In fact, it has happened to me a few times.
A couple days ago I noticed that my Chinese algae eater's dorsal fin was missing. I thought one of my cichlids had nibbled it off. The CAE was in a 55 gallon tank with some adult yellow labs, adult aceis, and a couple of 2" mbambas.

Does anyone know of any cheap sources of bulk zeolite? It seems like there should be somewhere out there that sells it for less than the online fish stores.
