ok update i have turbo cal dosing to 380 now. my mag dosing has increased from 100ppm to 1200ppm. should i target it to 1300 to 1350ppm mag and 420 ca to balance out for good coraline growth? i cant buff out my ca untill my mag is where it should be right ? so my mag being at 1100...

isnt tropic marin one of the best salts because it contains 75 out of the 78 trace elements that other salts dont have to sustain a reef? that is found in oceans?

i use tropic marin salt . readings 1.025 sg 320 ca 9 dkh + 1100 mag 8.3 ph i have to buffer my mag then use turbo cal to get my ca up to 420 ish also using tap water

the only problem i have switching to ro/di is the cost of water and the waste. 1 gallon for every 5 gallons are good. so in my 60 gallon tank, i do about 15 gallons weekly pwc so thats 75 waste gallons of water each week not to mention top offs. i use tap water with conditioner and my tank...

ok so i tested my tank the day after of my pwc with tropic marin salt. 55 reef did a 20 percent change roughly 10g, ca 360 dkh 9 ph 8.4 mg 1100 no3, no4 po4, 0.0 i bought some kents turbo calc. going to try to get my ca up there to 420 ish i have a question i havd a KH test kit...

if i boost my ca will that drop my alk ? i need to lower my alk and raise my ca so maybe i can balance it out by raising my ca? is this true ?

thanks ! yeah i have the calculator from another post i have it all set . going to dose it. my alk kit is from seachem that has it in meg/l each drop is .5 meg/l and i had 10 drops or 11 so i took that divided by half since its .5 and got 5-6 meg/l
