I've never read any articles stating whether or not to use sand. Should I? Also, I have a tang that looks like it has ich. I put it in a quarantine (without sand) but it doesn't seem happy being in there.

How often should I be feeding this puffer? I feed it with shrimp which it likes but it seems to have a never ending appetite as its constantly trying to find food in the tank. Thanks!

Thanks. I'm currently setting up a reef tank and the corrals will be going in it soon. The corals have been protected and out of reach of the puffer. Thanks for the answer!

Definitely not coral safe. I have minimal coral in this tank so its fine. I'm planning on building a coral tank soon and will keep this fish at the other end of the house. Thanks for the welcome.

Thought I'd share a picture of my latest addition. This little bugger is a PITA. Its already taken a few chunks off my frag...but he's too cool looking to let go.
