Is there any thing I can do to improve the tank? I'd like to be able to hide the heater, but I'm not sure how...
I dont even do water changes, just freshwater top ups. My fish have lived for years. I do filter like crazy though and change the filter material about every two months.
I have a T5 Nova HO light fixture... the canopy is 5" tall and 3" off the top of the water. It sits there fine, just want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing.
I don't see a way to purchase canopy mounts for this fixture.

I recently build a canopy for my new tank. I had a normal sit on top of the tank light that I attached to the inside of the canopy using some strong metal wire.

I have a 36 gallon wooden stand that I bought from Big Als awhile back. I'm not upgrading to a 75 gallon - can I just put a piece of good hard wood on top of my current stand to increase the length of it without having to spend the money to buy a bigger stand? Will it be strong enough...
Ya he's actually in a 75 gallon tank with 6 other fish (cant remember the name right now) but they're the tetras with the red on their head and black tails. Anyway they're doing fine - I could move them out and try adding aquarium salt.
