- First time since 2000 that I've set up a tank. The tank has been up since 12/13/13 and hoping to get fish soon (6-12 days). Looking to house Bettas and Dwarf Gouramis as I did in the past. Working to lower PH (have the PH & Ammonia wheels that in the tank and did regular tube testing as well), just from looking various other places, I see the high PH may not be an issue, but will look into it further for my breed of fish and am doing small water changes....though I might need to look into distilled water for that.
