    New 125g tank

Dang that is like speed cleaning! Haha. But I might be leaning more to the fx5 just because it would be easier to maintain. I've got enough on my hands with 2 jobs and school. Would one fx5 be enough for a 125g or a 150g tank depending on how many fish I put in it? Or would I need a larger HoB...

    New 125g tank

That was my other option, The guy I get all my fish from only does UG filtration so I didn't bother asking him. It works great in my 55g tank but I would imagine it would be troublesome in a large tank plus getting giant jets to get the circulation going. Right now I've been looking around...

    New 125g tank

Ya, that's what I was thinking but I'm a bit reluctant on going back to canisters. I've had a few bad ones with my 55 gallon tank. I had 2 Eheim Eccos and both just died on me for no reason, had both for about a month or so and noticed them just siphoning less and less. I also had a Cascade...

    New 125g tank

I'm looking into getting a 125 gallon tank or one around that size. I've had a 55 gallon tank for about a year and a half now and it's been running well and was looking into getting a bigger tank to fit into my living room. I have Under Gravel filtration in my 55g tank and was wondering what...

    New spawn... I think.

Haha, thanks. He's starting to venture out more which is kinda scary to watch because my G.Ocellatus are really trying to get at him, but luckily the Halianthus is around. No one gets anywhere near him without losing a few scales, lol. She does an excellent job protecting him.

    New spawn... I think.

Well I haven't seen any other fry so I guess he is the last one. He's doing fine though, I see him starting to pick the scraps floating around in the water after I feed my fish. I'm gonna try to get a good picture of him.

    New spawn... I think.

Right now he's doing just fine in my 55g tank. The Halianthus doesn't let anyone get anywhere near that area. I was going to try to put the fry, the Brichardi, and the Halianthus in one of my 10 or 20g tanks to see if they actually did breed or not. I'm still trying to figure out any other...

    New spawn... I think.

Ok, so I have a 55g tank with most all tangos, G.Ocellatus, Brichardi, Halianthus, and some young new worlds. I was looking through my tank today and noticed one little fry hiding inside of a shell. It couldn't have been there for very long because it was tiny, at first I thought it was just...

    Getting new bulbs.

I'm getting new bulbs because mine are dying. I was wanting to get some good high powered bulbs to make my tank real nice looking. I'm looking for 17'' bulbs and I have no plants in my tank just rocks. In my tank right now I have about 15 cichlids, all Tangos and a few new worlds, my tank is 55g...

Need help with identifying this fish!

Hey, I got this cichlid a few weeks ago and I forgot the name of it, I think it's a new world cichlid but not 100% sure. Its still Juvenile now but I know when it gets to adult size it gets kinda orangeish on it's head and is white on the other parts of its body with some dark splotches here and...

    How to sculpt lava rock?

Hey, I got these 2 big chunks of red lava rock for my 55g tanganykina tank and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to sculpt it. I was going to use a dremel tool and maybe a chisel and a hammer. How does that sound?

    Tainted rocks?

Thanks for all the info, I got a phosphate test kit and I checked the water the rocks were in and it is a bit high but not too bad. The water hardness and ph is not a problem for me because I have calvuses and some other tanganykans. But I'm gonna go with soaking the rocks for a week or so and...
