It is GE. It says "Cured sealant is mold and mildew resistant". That's bad? I honestly know nothing about this stuff.

I actually have some clear Silicone II 100% silicone sealant, it says it is for kitchens and baths. The tube says it is watertight. Can I just use that?

Hi everyone. I just bought a 15 gallon Top Fin tank from Petsmart. It came with an incandescent hood and bulbs, and I'd like to grow live plants. Nothing fancy, beginner plants are fine. I just want them to grow! So do I need to replace the whole hood and get a fluorescent hood and bulbs?
