    Off colored mh

I made my hood, my tank only came with a stand, so I built a matching top . added some edges to hold the Aqua light up at the top, and have two sets of fans running in the back pulling air out. It draws fresh air from the front edge. Wood work is no problem for me so modding the hood to support...

    Off colored mh

Do they need to hang or can I fit them into my hood? They would sit about 8-10" above water. I would love to change over to led and get rid of my excess heat. Also ive had to change to manual air condition timers because the mh lights burn up aquarium timer strips

    To much rock a problem?

Well when I first started I was going for the look of a display at the lfs. I really liked it ,but it's a bow front so it's a completely diff footprint. Then I bought a piece of man made fully cured. It helped spread coralline in the tank, but I think it's ugly lol. Working on the pic right now

    To much rock a problem?

Last night I was cleaning my glass on my 90 gal, and I started to wonder if I had to much live rock. Might be a stupid question , but I thought I would toss it out there. I'm not even sure how many pounds I have anymore but I know it's around 100.

    Power outage--Help!!!

We had a hurricane hit hard a few years back, I ended up borrowing a generator by the third day. But before that I was using my 12 volt power inverter to run the power heads. Works for me however it was hot outside and inside my house, so I did not need a heater. Some times Walmart sells them...

    Color

If you can, buy some fully cured live rock that already has purple on it. This will help get it in there and start to spread out. I used dry rock that I ordered so my tank was white for a long time. After my cycle I started adding coral which came on live rock covered in purple coralline this is...

    Tank

You should look into multiple heaters, I keep a small one in my display and a larger one in sump. the small one is set a few degrees lower so if the large one breaks the small one will slow the temp change down. This will give u time to pick up a new heater, just my 2 cents
