Our ballast for the fixture is going on the floor next to the tank stand - so I don't necessarily need to add new plugs - just hang it :-) Sorry I didn't specify.

Does anyone have a good tutorial / recommendation on how to hand a metal halid fixture by guy wire from the ceiling? Any help would be appreciated!

only problem we have with the OldCastle sand, is we can't find it anywhere :-P Anyone have any ideas where to get it in SoCal ?

We've been looking @ 2 MH light fixtures: 36" 342 watt: 1-150 watt HQI; 2-96 watt CF & 4 moon lights 36" 480 watt: 2x175W HQI, 2x65W CF, and 3 x bluemoon LED Which do you think would be better for a 60 GAL FOWLR brand new setup, that we'd like to turn reef sometime? Thanks in advance!

We're setting up a new 60 GAL FOWLR tank, and want to use sand as our substrate. Would you recommend using live sand, or getting playground sand? If playground sand - what's a good brand to use, and any suggestions on who carries it? (PS - We're located in SoCal) Thanks in advance!
