The paradefense box says to not do water changes when dosing the medicine. Should i bumb up my temp and do a large water change and wait a few days before dosing medicine? Also I have sand sunstrate so its hard for me to give it a deep clean any tips for that? And i don't have any live plants so...

I don't know too much but I know cichlids are freshwater. In my opinion pick either dwarf gouramis or an angel not both due to the potential aggression. Run some stocking ideas through aqadvisor.com and you can get a decent idea of whay may or may not work together in your tank.

Yeah i have two decent driftwood pieces in my tank in preparation for a pleco. Ive been waiting on a starlight bristlenose but im getting so impatient my LFS obviously doesnt have certain plecs all the time and they're rare to begin with. Good luck with him i hope the driftwood helps!
