Would a hob 100 Reef octopus protein skimmer and a canister filter be enough for a 90 gal tank also have a hob filter for bio balls or something or do I need a sump

I bought a wave maker wp25 from amazon but don't work don't think I can send it back so is there a way to wire it straight to the power wire or should I look for another box or any other suggestions
