    What substrate is that?

what fish and how many suitable for a 15 gallon tank.

You could make an awesome 15g planted guppy tank. Tank size can hold up to two dozen guppies so you can have a peaceful community tank along with some Java moss and Java fern. You could also throw some platies or a Betta in there to spice things up.

Quick advice on removing algae on glass

Nothing special is needed. Any soft scrubber will do or cheap cloth. Scrub it with the tank water. If you have hard water buildup, that's a different story.

What to breed in a 20g?

Guppies are probably one of the easiest fish to breed. They breed readily and easily, nicknamed the "million fish." All you need is 12 hours of lighting and hiding places, like plants and pots. They'll do the rest. I'm a fan of cichlids though, so those rams aren't a bad choice either ;].

What do you think of my fish?

Substrate is eye catching. Looks almost like crushed charcoal. Nice color assortment of your guppies.

What to breed in a 20g?

Guppies. With 20g to spare, you could dedicate it to breed some crazy show room quality strains.

    Emergency!!!! Pregnant Guppy!!

When you first notice that she's pregnant, it could take 3 to 4 weeks until she actually gives birth. It looks like she still has a few weeks left before releasing the fry. Keep her eating and keep her stress free. When she gets really fat, move her to an isolation tank with a breeding net if...

    New tank :)

I'd go with no more than 15. Be sure to get a soft substrate as they like to dig through it for food. 7 Corys work fine with a 10g, so 14 to 15 along with a Betta should work with a 20g.

Ghost Shrimp vs Red Cherry Shrimp

Thanks for all the help guys. The color is an important factor so it seems like RCS are 5he way to go. Great information fishfur. After reading your post, I'm leaning towards RCS instead of GS as well. It seems like RCS are a lot easier to breed, which is something I'm interested in. Plus...

Ghost Shrimp vs Red Cherry Shrimp

I want to stock a 1g desktop aquarium with either GS or RCS. Are there any major differences between them besides color and size? Is one more rewarding to care for than the other? If it helps, I plan to have an undergravel filter and plants (Java moss and fern). Thanks.
