    Pre-drilled is the only safe way to go! Read the book "the New Marine Aquarium" for good info. A hang on overflow can and will fail you during a power failure and you will end up with lots of saltwater on the floor. Live rock is sufficient for filtration. With a wet/dry you will still need...

    Nitrates for saltwater critters is bad at much lower levels than with freshwater critters. Moniter and ifn you have excess nitrates in your tank then remove your biowheels. As long as you take care of your tank's water changes you should not have a problem with the wheels/nitrates.

    Coraline will come back with a vengence when you get the calcium up. Lots of stuff to bring it back but I am no expert on which is better/easier/safer...

    I like HOB styles best best... 2 AC 300s, 1 at each end of the tank, would work great.

    Breeder tank question....

    low water filter

    What type of setup is it? I assume a drilled saltwater tank..... Adjust the stand pipe for correct tank level (raise the return/stand pipe to raise the tank level). And make sure your return pipe fits snug in the drilled hole (make sure it has not come out of the hole) How long for the water...

    Skimmer cup filling with water!

    Also check how you inject "bubbles/air" into the system. You could have a clogged hose or even one that came off (mine goes into the inlet side of the pump via a venturi, if the air line gets pinched or comes loose I will overflow the cup)
