I have two puffers and have noticed them puffing up lately. nothing new has happened . maybe they have been doing this all along and I just now noticed them.
I had a bout with flukes and ick got the problem taken care of but I have a blue tang that had fluckes over the eye seems to be ok now back to normal self. but has white pits around face could this just be scaring or maybe something else.?
if it flukes my angle just over it. i treated my tank twice with dyacide. took the angle into the lfs and they keep it and did fresh water baths for a week seems to have taken care of problem. if lfs wont do this put fish in qt and just do a couple of fresh water baths a day for 10mins at a time...
ph 8.2 ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 40 sg 1.022 temp 79-80% do 20g water change every 7-10 days with aged ro water. angle seems healthy eats well but kind of darts around like it stressed a little.
my koran angle has calcium buildup on his top fin so the lfs told me now he has a thin film covering one eye. does any one know what this is and what to do for it?
there is a growth on the top fin lfs says it is calcium buildup and notjing to worry about. it seems to be getting bigger. fish eats well and no problem swimming around.
try a fish trap. just put ina little bit of food and when he goes into the trap close the door. you can order one from drfostersmith or maybe the lfs has one i've use one several times and works like a charm.
