    Coral’s Mouth Hardened

Seems fine now. I guess it was just doing it's thing. What concerned me was why it's mouth was hard. I thought corals mouths were soft.

    Coral’s Mouth Hardened

I came home as my coral was closing up. The light wasn’t getting darker so, not normal. Upon closer inspection, I found that my torch coral’s mouth has hardened. I tried touching the mouth area & I noticed it retracted. The tentacles are there but the mouth is hard. Is this normal?

    Clownfish Gone Mad?

I read it, it says they were atacking all animals that entered. Unless you're talking Ocelaris or Percula clownfish, Damsels will be very aggressive unless paired properly. As far as the coral, yeah that seems weird. The vending machine theory seems funny though

    45 gallon vertical tank

I had the same problem with my cube. I think tall aquariums in general aren't good because there's more vertical than horizontal swimming which lead to ultimately less space & more fish encounters. I had to beautiful & thriving tangs. One was a hippie tang & the other a yellow, both babies, &...

    Advice on Filtration

You know that live rock, depending where it's from can have ick as well as other parasites? This is why if it's already inside your main display I would leave there at least two months without fish. This will starve the parasites. For future reference, going with dry rock is easier because you...

    Clownfish Gone Mad?

Consider compatibility charts in the future. They'll tell you how aggressive the fish will be.

    Help pick out next fish

Either get something as big or bigger than the bully or take them out & set up a smaller tank just for them. Here's a fun idea, make the new tank into an anemone tank.

    Bare Bottom

I don't like the way it looks, I think sand just makes it look more natural & gives the tank that "under the sea" reef look to it. I also think sand isn't necessary like many snobby arrogant people in the other popular forums used to argue about.

    Tiny white worms

To whom it may concern or find this info helpful... The tiny worms have completely disappeared. I'm going to assume that worm exit helped with the process but it's hard to know for sure. Back to a pest free tank  Time to add corals... Not gonna trust aquaculture lol. Let this be a lesson...

    Tiny white worms

flatworm exit didn't do anything. I just added it. Waited one hour w/o carbon.. Still active worms. Added 50% as the instructions say, waited another hour.. Still active worms. I'm going to assume that it takes time for it to affect their bodies but it really doesn't seems that way. In any case...

    It's a science experiment.

    Tiny white worms

Yeah I know they're good but my goal with this tank was ZERO macrofauna, algea, worms etc etc by having a low bio-load with amazing filtration and fish that don't need them. Thanks again for the info!

    Tiny white worms

Thanks for the info. I couldn't find any on the web about them. That must have been what killed my hammer. I'm telling you I had a ZERO pest tank. I put an ORA hammer in and all of a sudden I see copepods, then ick, now this. I didn't dip because I thought aquaculture coral tanks didn't have...

    Tiny white worms

That's okay, they're harmless anyway. Thanks again.

    Tiny white worms

Yes! Thank you! I looked up pictures and sure enough! Now I know where they came from and why they're on the glass. Thanks again.
