Thanks. It's a 5 gal tank...is that too small for a heater?

What type of fish, if any, can survive in 62 degree temps? We want to put a fish tank in my son's room, but when we are not home we lower the heat to 62 degrees in the house. Can any type of fish handle that or do I have to get a tank heater?

He eats Wardley Betta food and lives in a 1 gallon tank. Thanks for the advice. I'll follow these tips and hopefully he will recover.

Some more info...He is in a tank by himself. He only eats 2 betta pellets per day. I'm not sure of the ammonia level but when we do a test strip on his water the nitrate level is 30ppm, nitrite is .5ppm. If it is worms is there something I can give him?

I've had my betta for about 18 months. For the past 2 months he's had a bloated looking belly and hasn't been eating much. He also floats on his side most of the time. I just assumed he was dying but I think it would have happened quicker than this. Any ideas what I can do to help him or...
