lol, i got the best of over filtering a tank. i have an emperor 280 with a powerhead and ugf on a 10 gallon tank! i think there is no such thing as over filtering.

i prefered my big male convict cichlid myself. ive never had a fish attack my knuckle before until he bit it one day! sicne he wasnt afraid to attack my big alien-looking (to him) hand, he was my fav after that!

hmmm, a centerpiece fish for a ten gallon aquarium. maybe a killifish? or perhaps a small dwarf gourami?

hey- i saw these guys at the lfs the other day. they were about 4" long, similar in shape to hexazon barbs but being a solid copper-gold color. they labeled them as "waterfall barbs". any ideas on what they are?

lol, ill be moving next year. i plan on just disbanding my set-ups, selling the equipment, and selling my fish back to the lfs. in your case though, you might want to consider taking down the betta and sw tanks if they will be a problem due to space constraints. also, penn-plax makes double...

yea. they do look pretty cool, but at the smae time very pricey! however, i think the cost may be offset by the long term durability of the filter, considering the reputation of the company. dunno- my buddy needs a filter for his tank right now and this one is under consideration. see...

last update i think. hes swimming around alot now. his color ahs returned, his fins are almost completely regrown. that mealfix worked a wonderful job! again, thanks zagz!

its a 10 gallon tank. there's 3 amazon sword cuttings from my main tank in there. yes, i will keep any eye out for disease. the thought of him becoming ill makes me worry; hes such a beautiful fish with a personality. yea, i will make a point to buy a background for him on monday. all...
