My mystery snail does the same thing, but only occasionally. I found out that the slime trail likely occurs from when they are using their "strong foot" muscle. Since none of my apple or inca snails have this slime trail it seems weird ... The small black dots are feces.

I am about the 6th week of cycle in new 10 gal. Nitrates are high(good). but as of yesterday (over period 6 hrs) the water got super foggy. So foggy I can't see through it more than 2 inches. Is this part of the cycle??? What could this be?

Yea. It's clear and I can actually see it, like in string-like form over the plastic plants and walls of tank when he moves over it

My mystery snail has A LOT of slime. Is this normal??? But anytime he moves over anything or anywhere in the tank there's a trail of slime (it's more than I expected and more than I've seen from my other snails (despite their size difference). Is this normal?

I'm new to this hobby, I have an 8gallon Evolve8 starter aquarium. I set it up 4 1/2 weeks ago, so I'm still in the water cycle for it. I have a male beta, 3 ghost shrimp, a mystery snail, and 2 yellow inca snails. Since the whole process of maintaining an aquarium is new to me, I'd hope this...
