Ok I moved him to a glass tank. I had to partition one of those powder packs into 32 parts (I have about 3 quarts in his tank so he can get to the surface to breath)..... not sure how accurate that was. The water didn't turn yellow, I felt like I hardly put any powder in.

Also will the Furan discolor my acrylic tank? Should I put him in another tank for treatment?

Okay the Furan 2 just got in (took forever). I don't know if it will interact with the Epsom salt so I guess I will do a 100% water change, then add the Furan.

Yeah, I have that Lifeguard medication in there currently, kind of confused how I'm going to switch over to ES without taking the fish out and doing a 100% water change.

Any idea what that raised area on his head may be?

Yes I'm talking Epsom salt. When you say normal salt, you don't mean table salt right? I'm a little lost about the slime coat thing. Every time I give him a salt bath I do a very large water change. How much would you recommend if I added Epsom salt to his real tank?

Alright, I ordered Furan today, I hope it arrives in time. He still wants to eat. Should I be giving him salt bathes?

No, I live at college currently and I left my freshwater kit at home for my big tank. But since his illness I did a 100% now I'm doing 25 daily. Should I give anymore salt bathes?

Okay. I think I have the attachment thing figured out. Here is a whole picture of everything going on. Red spots on his side and head, as well as raised scales at the top of his head. Sorry for posting so much, I'm just frantic to try to help him.

Wait, that spot on top of his head where I said the raised scale, that kind of has some red by it now. Almost like its a gash. What should be my plan of action?

There are no visible parasites, although I'm not sure what to look for. I'm about to buy Furan -2 which is a broad spectrum bacterial medication. Any suggestions?

Okay, he is now laying at the bottom, and has labored breathing, I need to get him more specific medication. What do I get?
