    Cherry Shrimp. Male or Female?

After doing some reading the other night, sexing cherry shrimp isn't that difficult per say. In general the females are simply larger than the males

    In-line Co2 diffuser/reactor

Lol, that's just a rigged up return line. The clear tubing is basically the same as a gravel vac. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000OMHIHM/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1491497985&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=acrylic+tubing&dpPl=1&dpID=41dwxZoPR9L&ref=plSrch It's not overly common in...

    Cherry Shrimp. Male or Female?

Cherry shrimp will need a little time to get their color back. Much like a stressed fish loses its color on the trip home from the pet store, the same can be said for most invertebrate. However, in my experience shrimp take a while longer to regain their color. I've found shrimp in my canister...

    In-line Co2 diffuser/reactor

You are correct. If you run the co2 through your INTAKE the carbon in the filter will absorb the carbon just as it absorbs other toxins. It is actually recommended to remove the carbon from the filtration when running co2, so long as the other media has had adequate time for beneficial bacteria...

    In-line Co2 diffuser/reactor

I made an adaptor for a paintball co2 canister to a fluval pressure valve and ran the line directly into the base of my return line with a small rubber grommet. Just put an "atomizer" air stone at the end of it inside the return line and it works amazingly

    Indian dwarf puffer questions

I have a betta, three ottos, and a really large cherry shrimp in a five gallon. Bettas have a lot of personality and recognize people in a certain manner. I've also had puffers in the past, marked as figure eight puffers but I believe they're the same thing as Indian puffers. They have beaks...

    HELP!!!

Very. A couple months ago I wouldn't have minded seeing as I could get their numbers down they were breeding so much. Then they just stopped for some unknown reason... but that's another thread for another time. Thanks for all your help

    HELP!!!

Will do. One more thing, how about cherry shrimp...? Will the betta just feast on them?

    HELP!!!

No, you are correct flchamp, the betta is coming out of the smaller tank and going into the larger tank with the white clouds, the cpd are going into the tank from which the betta was removed. As for the temp ranges I tend to keep mid 70's with the wcm. They seem to be doing quite well, unless...

    HELP!!!

Hi all, it's been a while I know. I need some input. I just got 8 Celestial Pearl Danios at a screaming deal on account of the employees not knowing what they had (and I couldn't in good conscience tell them what they were worth, am I a bad person for that...?), however I only have one 29gal and...

    Filter concept

Thank you all for the input.! Ironworker, I couldn't get the image to render on my iPad but I think I get the concept of it. I assume it's custom considering your page says you're into woodworking. I have a wood shop myself! However it's in my garage and my garage is cold. And I'm a wimp in the...

    White cloud minnows

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a shot. I've never bred this type of fish before so I'm not sure what they need to breed. Sorry it took so long for a response, I sidetrack easily

    Filter concept

Call me crazy but I hate looking at my tank and seeing all these tubes and wires and what not. I've used every filtration method on the market short of drilling the tank and nothing has worked to my liking. I settled on a home made overflow setup due to its larger area for beneficial bacteria to...

canister doesn't fit in stand. Help me hide it!

I'd cut the shelf out of the way. Make that baby fit right where you want it to. There should be nothing to even remotely draw attention from the centerpiece

    Names John

Lol, thank you. Got the idea from a girl from a pet store near a hotel I'm building. Turns out nobody's got the time or money to make a Takashi style tank when you live in the stix
